MacGregor Industries Limited are proud to be the sole, official UK distributor
for JR Propo products. We supply this famous brand of radio control products to
model shops across the UK.
But we would like to make it clear that we do not supply Probuild Aircraft Ltd.
We therefore consider any JR products sold by Probuild to be grey imports. As
with all grey imports, we are unable to provide warranty or accept any
responsibility or liability for any JR products that we have not imported and
distributed.
All MacGregor/JR products are supplied direct from JR Propo. Our CE type testing
of DSX DSM2 series radios is managed by JR’s own engineers using the world-renowned TÜV test laboratories. MacGregor/JR branded radios have undergone full CE type
testing at the cost of several thousands of pounds.
In contrast, Probuild do not buy direct from JR. Paperwork supplied with a
Probuild supplied DSX radio in our possession refers to an offshore CE marking
consultant. This company offers CE Certification ‘without the need for third party testing’ for under four hundred pounds...
We have also been asked to point out that Probuild are selling DSX12
transmitters in a polystyrene box. Genuine MacGregor/JR sets are supplied in a
high-quality aluminium carry case worth £199.95 srp.
Finally, MacGregor Industries would like to make it clear that we do not operate
transmitter control at any UK model flying events and have no veto over the use
of grey import sets. However, if organisers wish to contact us prior to an
event, we are happy to pass on our advice based on the latest information
direct from JR.
