I purchased a used DS8417 servo that seems to be a bit sloppy and wonder if this
is correct and if not if anything can be done
about it. The servo seems to operate smoothly across its range, the output shaft doesn't seem to wobble in the bearing, but there is some 'rotational play' (maybe 0.5mm measured 15mm from the output shaft centre). I guess this is gear backlash. |
