JR have now released a 10 channel Synthesised
Dual Conversion Receiver with automatic scanning. When
used with the Synthesised RF Module, it means no more
crystals to go wrong ! However, this does not mean
that you have to use a Synth Module or a Synth Transmitter.
These new Synthesised receivers are designed to
work with any standard transmitter and/or standard RF
module (NET J35P), it just means that you would only have
to buy new Transmitter crystals !!
With JR you can choose between two different types of
receiver: S-PCM and PPM.
S-PCM offers 1024 bit resolution and
programmable failsafe via the Tx. Unfortunately the older Z Class receivers are no longer in production
Due to their outstanding interference
rejection capabilities and highly precise servo outputs,
PCM receivers have become de rigeur for leading
edge models such as gas turbine equipped jets or all moulded
composite gliders. They are the receiver of choice for
competition flying, especially fixed wing or helicopter
aerobatics, where the slightest deviation in a manoeuvre
can deny you victory. Small wonder then that PCM has also
become the receiver of choice for experienced club modellers
who value the precision and extra degree of protection
that Pulse Code Modulation offers for their expensive
models.
For entry level use and for everyday
club flying, PPM (Pulse Position Modulation) offers a
reliable and affordable radio link for all model types.
All current JR aircraft receivers (both
PCM & PPM) benefit from ABC&W (Anti Blocking Control
& Window) technology. ABC&W is an innovation from
JR that offers an extremely high level of protection from
interference.
