Go Piezo!

JR’s family of solid state gyro systems give sport and expert flyers alike the chance to enjoy the full benefits of a piezo electric gyro. Unlike electromechanical gyros that use a motor and flywheel sensor, piezo gyro systems are totally free of moving parts that might wear out, giving them a nearly unlimited service life whilst still offering a tenfold increase in performance over mechanical gyros. The heart of these gyros is a small vibrating prism which detects the slightest change in angular velocity using the Coriolis effect.

Vibration Protection

The sensor unit is protected from vibration by a newly developed vibration isolation system. This is designed to prevent the ability of the gyro to detect angular velocities as small as that of the earth’s rotation and as large as 720º per second from being impaired by the vibrations of the model in which it is installed. The new vibration isolation system ensures the same high level of performance regardless of the installation and mounting method.

Pilot Control Authority

The purpose of a gyro is to damp out unwanted disturbances. With a conventional system, the gyro fights against the pilot’s commands as well as the unwanted disturbances. In the extreme all model movements would be prevented by the gyro. A JR piezo gyro senses the control commands and produces an angular velocity commensurate with the stick input so that the model follows, in a smooth and precise manner, only the commands given by the pilot.

Remote Gain Control

Gyro gain can be set remotely from the Tx using a spare switched or continuously variable channel and can be adjusted between 0 & 100%. (Excluding G420)

Automatic Travel Limit

The best performance will be obtained fromall JR gyros with the rudder servo travel set to 150%. This is to give the gyro maximum gain and authority. Control linkage binding is prevented by Automatic Travel Limit system which automatically prevents further servo movement once the internally set deflection limit is reached.

G770T

The latest G770T gyro is finally here! Currently receiving great reviews on the major RC Forums ! With its "Full Metal Jacket" and Silicon Ring Vibration Sensor (SRVS), it offers the ultimate in drift free operation. Other features include Auto Trim, which automatically compensates for any difference in trim between Normal and Tail Lock Modes. Tail Lock can also be selected remotely from the transmitter, and the Tail Lock efficiency can be adjusted at the Tx too. The G770T is designed for use with a high-speed servo, with maximum performance being attained using a JR DS-8900G.

G7000T

JR G7000T The long awaited G7000T gyro is finally here! With its Slicon Ring Vibration Sensor (SRVS), it offers the ultimate in drift free operation. Other features include Auto Trim, which automatically compensates for any difference in trim between Normal and Tail Lock Modes. Tail Lock can also be selected remotely from the transmitter, and the Tail Lock efficiency can be adjusted at the Tx too. The G7000T is designed for use with a high-speed servo, with maximum performance being attained using a JR NES-8700G. The G7000T can be purchased complete with an 8700G, or as a gyro only for those customers who already possess a suitable tail servo.

G6000T

The new JR 6000T Gyro comes complete with a high performance 8000sx four wire servo for ultimate tail holding. The new type servo lead helps preserve a cleaner signal and the high speed ensures your tail rotor is always locked. With varying degrees of heading lock and gain/control boost, the 6000 will suit all your needs.

G550T / G3000

The 550T gyro brings high performance heading hold peizo technology, but without the need for a digital or super servo. The 3000 is the original high performance piezo gyro. Utilising high frame rates, it is still a great performer for those not needing heading hold.

G490T

Bringing JR Heading lock technology with the new Silicon Ring Sensor to the club pilot, JR's G490T gyro provides superb tail control at an attractive price. The 490T gives the choice of normal or heading hold, and with dual gains adjustable on the transmitter.

G420T

A budget priced Piezo Gyro for the Sport Heli. Ideally suited for the DS820G or DS3500G tail servos. This Gyro has manual gain adjustment and Tail Lock On/Off controls located on the body and is NOT remotely adjustable.
