High Torque starter developed for .90 size engine. There are two main features of the K&S HP Starter:
First are the interchangeable starter shafts, allowing the modeller to swap between the aircraft spinner cup and a helicopter wand in just a couple of seconds. Both types of start shaft include a one-way bearing to prevent drag on the engine once it has fired up.
Second, and perhaps most impressive, is the ability to fit an on-board battery. Made up of two 7-cell Sub C sticks (Ni-Cad or Ni-Mh), this allows the modeller to do away with the 12V power lead, which can easily get caught in the propeller. And since the starter has its own battery, you can leave that heavy 12V car battery at home - a real boon if you have to walk any distance between the car park and your flying patch.
