MacGregor/JR DSX9 gets CE approval

Only by buying a MacGregor version of the DSX9 can you be sure that your new 2.4 radio set is CE compliant. Our CE testing took several months to complete in liaison with JR Propo. But beware, false CE labels are widespread. So if you are buying a DSX9 we recommend that you check for the MacGregor/JR label, just above the buzzer. Please also make sure that the MacGregor CE label is in place at the base of the transmitter, between the feet.

We have made the BMFA aware of the existence of non-compliant DSX9 and X9303 (American version) sets with false CE labels. These will usually have been purchased from abroad using the internet. It is our understanding that it is illegal to use non CE approved radios.

The BMFA have already begun to take action when they become aware of such imports, such as liasing with popular auction sites. We commend them for their prompt action in safeguarding innocent modellers from unwittingly buying illegal radio control sets.

For your information, please find below pictures of the front case label and the MacGregor CE labels attached to genuine MacGregor/JR DSX9 sets. If your set does not have these labels then it is highly likely that it is not CE compliant and may be illegal to use.

If you have been sold any other version of DSX9, or any version of X9303, we strongly recommend that you return them to the seller and get your money back. Please note that contrary to popular belief, there are internal differences between CE and non-CE sets and the latter cannot be simply be 'turned down' to make them legal.
