The RD922 is JR's latest 2.4GHz DSM2 receiver. It has been designed for large models that use multiple high torque servos, as commonly found in IMAC style aircraft and jets.

ASSOCIATION NEWS:
Its main feature is a strong power bus that is designed to cope with the high current loads commonly found in such models. Large battery packs can be connected via the dual 16AWG power leads. The RD922 also features a soft switch where, if the switch fails, current continues to be supplied to the servos.

The RD922 consists of a main unit to house the power bus and three remote receivers, complete with extension leads. A fourth remote receiver (JRC101EA) can be added, if desired, to maximise the RF link.

If you should ever let your batteries drop below the receiver's working threshold (please monitor your batteries to avoid this) then fast reconnect circuitry ensures that control is regained just as soon as adequate voltage is restored. At which time the model should be landed using minimal control inputs and the batteries recharged.  As with other DSM2 receivers, the RD922 incorporates SmartSafe technology, as well as the option to use pre-set fail-safe settings.

Two versions of RD922 will be available. The standard unit is designed for use with the current range of JR 4.8V servos. But the version that JR have shipped to us first is the 6V type, which can be plugged straight into 2 cell li-po packs. This should only be used with the new HV series of high voltage servos that JR will be sending us in the New Year (full details coming soon!). However since it can be also be used with a number of 6V rated servos from other manufacturers which are already on the market, we have decided to go ahead and offer it prior to the launch of JR's HV series servos.
